ERASMUS PROJECT: STUDENTS’ MOBILITY IN POING
Project: “Erasmus, an opportunity to improve sustainability and the learning of the English Language”
The last week of September, a small group of students (me included) went to Germany for the second half
of our Erasmus exchange. The year before, we had all (12 of us) gotten into the program via interviews we
had to send to a few judges, and last April, the students from Germany that got into the program came over
to Spain, and this year, it was our turn to go.
Over there, it was much colder than here, and it was very interesting to hear the locals speak German as the
language is so different.
We did various activities such as tour of their school, yoga, a hike up the Alps, a tour of their recycling facilities,
we visited the city of Munich and the Olympiapark…
It was very nice to be able to get away from school and family drama for a week and meet new people.
At first, it was nerve-wracking to stay at another family house, but I think it must have been harder for
them when they came over in April since we didn't know each other at all at that point.
All in all, I think my classmates and I were very happy with the whole experience, it was well-organized and
a great way to learn about other cultures.
Although, it was a bit hard to get back into the usual routine once we were back in Spain, it was a wonderful
experience, I think we were all glad to get home and see our friends and family again.
